Job Description: The Occupational Therapist ?? Degree Senior- Community Based reports directly to the Outpatients Community Therapy Manager.  This position is a regional position based in Yorkton.    The Occupational Therapist-Degree Senior is responsible for a clinical caseload and provides direct care to clients.   The Occupational Therapist- degree Senior is accountable for working collaboratively with the Geriatric Resource and Intervention Team (GRIT) to plan, provide, and integrate multidisciplinary assessment tasks into a framework of advanced geriatric practice.  The Senior Occupational Therapist is also accountable for assisting the Outpatients Community Therapy Manager in planning; organizing, directing and supervising the activities of their designated service area in outpatients /community to which they are assigned within the Sunrise Health Region to ensure that patients/clients referred receive a high standard of occupational therapy.  This will be done in accordance with Sunrise Health Region mission statement and the Therapy Department statement of purpose, policies and procedures of the facility and department. This position is designated as a field hour??s position. The Senior Occupational Therapist has a reporting relationship to the manager of the facility they are working in and to other managers/directors overseeing the Geriatric Resource and Intervention Team.
Required Qualifications

Valid drivers license or the ability to travel both within the Region and Provincially
Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists
Experience
Must have two (2) years of clinical experience.
