The Legislative District Security Officer will join a team of seven armed officers responsible for the security of the Legislative District. Under your supervisor's direction you will maintain a high level of tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality working with your team and others to ensure the safety of all who work and visit the building are safe and secure. Your exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills and non-judgmental demeanor will assist in providing information, conducting thorough interviews, investigations, and inspections, and analyzing complex situations.

You will have previous knowledge and practical experience in public policing and/or law enforcement services. You will be experienced working in a high performing protective and secure unit functioning teams focused on security and protection. Typically, this position requires a candidate having a background in law enforcement or as a police officer, knowledge and experience required to be successful in this position would be obtained and supplemented by a bachelors degree or college diploma in police science, criminal justice, public administration, or a related field.
