The Prairie Agricultural Machinery Institute (PAMI) is an ISO 9001:2015-registered organization established in 1975 to provide a unique resource to both prairie farmers and agricultural machinery manufacturers. Today, in addition to continuing our agricultural priorities, PAMI has also evolved to serve the needs of both the mining and transportation industries. The Opportunity:
The current technical lead opportunity will be responsible for the team overseeing electronics, instrumentation, and our cable shop. Technical Service Leads generally split time between people management and operational duties on a basis of ~25/75%.

Duties and Responsibilities:
People Management:
Lead and mentor a team of technical / engineering/ operations colleagues
Support the training and skills development of his/her team
Use feedback from the project leaders and team to manage, plan and evaluate skill sets required to fulfill projects

Operational Excellence:
Support and provide input to the Project Management team regarding project scheduling and resource allocation
Ensuring that individual and team tasks are completed on time and within budget
Recruit and retain skilled employees. Seek and establish partnerships when and as appropriate to fill skill gaps on short, medium and long term basis with the assistance of Human Resources
Coordinate project area activities to fulfill planned objectives
Maintain internal and external quality and safety standard
Contribute to strategic discussions and decisions to strengthen PAMIs financial position and reputation amongst key industry stakeholders

Credentials and Experience:
University undergraduate degree or college diploma in electronics, engineering, computer programming or another applicable technology area
Minimum of 5 years of technical work coupled with managing people
