SCEP CENTRE - Early Intervention and Training Services is a community based nonprofit organization in Regina. We are a specialized therapeutic early intervention preschool program for children between the ages of 2 - 5 with complex communication and behaviour challenges and their families. SCEP fosters the development of social-emotional health, healthy interpersonal relationships as well as preacademic and social skill developmental, enabling the children to mature, develop skills and heal.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Social Work, Education or the Social Sciences or diploma in Psychiatric Nursing
- An understanding of child development
- Knowledge of Indigenous history, values, culture and traditions
- A current and clean criminal record/vulnerable sector check
- Strengths with interpersonal communication, administration and organizational capabilities
Duties:
- Work in a child-centered, trauma-informed environment
- Work as part of a team of professionals to learn about, plan and implement specialized therapeutic, developmentally-appropriate preschool experiences for individual and small groups of young children
- Case management and collaboration
- Other possible duties could include participating in fundraising activities or professional presentations
