Description

Prairie Wind Estate is a 41-bed assisted living facility located in Herbert, SK.  We also offer a Day Program and Respite care.

In this role, you will be providing residents with excellent routine care as well as collaborating with other members of our Resident Care Team (Director of Care, Physician, Care Aides) on resident care, treatment, and support.  You will be required to work alone or with little supervision.  There is no shift work and the hours are daytime and flexible to fit your schedule.  20-30 hours per week is our target.

Education:
-    LPN educational training and proof of licensure
-    1 or more years experience in a similar
-    Clinical experience in a Personal Care Home setting would be considered a strong asset
-    Clear Criminal background check
-    Interpersonal communication skills required for this role.

General Duties:
-    Acknowledge and support the Core Mission, Vision, and Value statements of Prairie Wind Estate Inc.
-    Ensure resident health, safety, and well being.
-    Take part in weekly rounds with physician.
-    Consult physician when new issues arise and follow up, as necessary.
-    Conduct and record monthly vital signs on all residents.
-    Monitoring patients and completing ongoing assessments of their physical and mental health.
-    Administering medications and injections as ordered and keeping complete records of these activities.
-    Receive medical reports and interpret and act accordingly.
-    Check new med cards.
-    Monthly MAR check.
-    Admissions.
-    Updating patient charts and recording observations of their condition.
-    Communicating concerns about residents overall health to the Director of Care, Physician, and Supporter as required.
