The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Environment and Biotech Division is seeking a Project Coordinator to provide support to a Project Manager in the Environmental Remediation Business Unit.
Accountabilities
Assist Project Manager in drafting and issuing project proposals, request for proposals, tenders, budgets, technical reports and schedules
Manage all facets of an active remediation project, including everyday decision-making and ensuring deliverables are met
Use tools to control and track project schedules, budgets, and expenditures
Write reports, applications for licenses/approvals/permits and management system documents
Manage the change order process and track all license/approval/permit commitments for regulatory compliance
Review financials and coordinate payment for invoices and change orders
Communicate with contractors, consultants, regulators, and the project team
Qualifications
Environmental science/engineering background is preferred
Three to five years of work experience managing projects in the fields of remediation, engineering, or construction
Skills
Excellent planning and coordinating skills with the ability to deliver quality work in a team environment
Strong verbal and written communication and critical thinking skills
Well organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks
Requirements
Valid Drivers Licence
Some travel to remote, radiation-impacted abandoned mine sites in northern Saskatchewan
Travel by small aircraft, boat and all-terrain vehicles
Extended working hours (up to 12 hours per day) while in the field
