Job Description: ASSISTING WITH COORDINATION OF CLIENT/FAMILY CARE WITH HOSPITAL DEPARTMENT/SERVICES AND OTHER HEALTH CARE AGENCIES. ASSISTING IN ESTABLISHING AND MAINTAINING STANDARDS OF CARE THROUGH EDUCATION BY: ASSESSMENT OF LEARNING NEEDS ACTING AS A CLINICAL RESOURCE PROMOTION OF CLIENT EDUCATION CONCEPTS PLANNING, IMPLEMENTATION AND EVALUATION OF UNIT ORIENTATION, IN-SERVICE AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING PARTICIPATING IN QUALITY IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITIES AND COMMITTEE WORK AS APPROPRIATE. ASSISTING WITH INTERDEPARTMENTAL AND FACILITY INTERFACES TO PROMOTE EFFECTIVE DELIVERY OF CLIENT CARE IN SASKATOON HEALTH REGION.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Certificate
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Experience
3 years recent full time experience in Dialysis Nursing required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Advanced communication skills
Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Communication skills to transfer knowledge/skills

NOTE: This is a Provincial Posting and is open to all SUN members within the bargaining unit as per Articles 27.02 and 27.05 of the SUN Collective Bargaining Agreement. First preference will be given to employees of the SKHA (Saskatoon) and its affiliated agencies.
