Job Description: Job Summary: Supports all services lines and programs at RUH. Collaborates with the Regional Physicians, Department Heads, and the Region in the review and access of Patients to RUH. Provides educational updates and functions as a resource within the Region. In collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Educator, participates in education of RN's, i.e. TNCC/ACLS/PALS. Supports research in all service lines and programs. Represents Emergency RUH on the code blue committee. Participates on unit and regional quality committees for best practice guidelines and enhancing quality care. Participates in development, monitoring and evaluation of protocols, guidelines and standards of care in collaboration with Physician and Nursing staff. Primary responsibility to support, preceptor and mentor staff in all aspects of Emergency Nursing care. Provides leadership and support to ER staff and back-up support to the MON. Acts as a role model.
Required Qualifications

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor Certificate
Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
CNA Certification in clinical practice area
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Experience
5 years recent full time experience in Emergency Nursing required.
