Description

To render direct casework and conduct assigned group work to assist clients within the centre policies and program, and to supervise clients in residential program and activities. Responsible for managing an assigned client case load made up of men currently residing in the emergency shelter. Conduct: client intakes, orientation, analysis of data, formation of treatment plan, implement and support treatment plan, Individual counselling sessions with assigned clients & keep records as to the nature of each session.  Maintain accurate, comprehensive, legible and current client file records. Prepare termination summaries for each client. Complete reporting and statistical recording as required. Observe all clients, confront in a therapeutic manner if necessary, document observances along with any actions taken. Record unusual or out of character behaviours noted in daily log book at front desk.Check on out of building clients as necessary. Conduct group sessions. Present written or oral reports to supervisor on each client.Contact other social agencies on behalf of the client and or make referrals. Actively pursue personal development. Maintain an interest in all phases of residential program.Adhere to standards consistent with the values and philosophy of Crossroads Residential Services and The Salvation Army. Participate fully and constructively in staff meetings. Engage in formal evaluation sessions with supervisor. Read and follow Policy & Procedure.
