Description

SGI is hiring a Director of Corporate Safety. We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating a safer workplace for employees, works collaboratively with all areas of the organization, has strong business continuity planning skills, and can position their team to respond quickly and calmly in an emergency situation.

Requirements
Candidates must bring the education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity  after all, were counting on you. For our Director, Corporate Safety, here are some things well look for:
A four-year degree from an accredited education institution in a relevant field of study such as Business.
A Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation.
Professional accreditation in business continuity through either the Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI) or the Business Continuity Institute (BCI).
Ten years experience comprised of six years leadership experience and four years experience in safety and/or business continuity.

If successful in this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of strategies to address occupational health and safety, emergency management, and business continuity management risks. The successful individual for this role will be a team player that buys into this mindset and embodies SGIs vision, missions and values.
