Description

Hours:      20-35 hours per week, hours vary, flexible scheduling            
Location:    Yorkton SK and area, Fort QuAppelle and area        
Start Date:     September 27 2022

SIGN Family Support seeks an independent, supportive, creative, resourceful and compassionate individual to support families within Yorkton and Fort QuAppelle and rural surrounding areas as directed by the Family Support Manager. The successful individual will collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate client care and support in consultation with individuals and their families, while maintaining the rights and dignity of individuals.

Expectations:
    Support and educate families in parenting, child development, communication skills and relationship building
    Connect individuals and families to community and professional supports
    Travel to meet with families in their homes

    Maintain positive professional boundaries
    Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, including completing accurate visit notes and professional reports for case management
    Ability to use Microsoft Word and email on a daily basis
    Be flexible to meet families as needed/manage hours and schedule efficiently
    Take direction well from management, and contribute to a healthy team environment

Qualifications and experience:
    A Bachelors degree, diploma or certification and training appropriate to the position is beneficial
    A minimum of one (1) year experience working with children, youth and families
    Valid drivers license and access to a personal motor vehicle for transportation of clients
    A current and clean RCMP criminal record and vulnerable sector check
