About Regina Early Learning Centre (RELC)

Established in 1977 RELC is a child and family development centre which works in partnership with families to foster the healthy development of children from prenatal to five years of age offering programs that help create brighter futures for children, their families, and the community as a whole.

Introduction to Role  Director of Development

The Director of Development is at the front line and a public face for RELC with donors and prospects, particularly those with propensity for major and planned gifts, and generally in the community. You project professionalism and work with staff and volunteers to welcome donors, into meaningful and lasting relationships with the organization and its mission.  Your overall aim is building appropriate fund development plans and implementing them to achieve established revenue goals with extreme effectiveness and efficiency.

Your Key Accountabilities will include:
1. Secure Major Gifts
2. Prospecting, Recognition and Stewardship
3. Administration and Records Management
4. Brand Ambassadorship

Special Considerations:
5 Plus years of fund development experience
CFRE designation and previous work in the not-for-profit or charitable sector are assets
University undergraduate degree or post-secondary education and equivalent experience
Excellent communication and writing skills
Familiarity with CRM solutions and or database management software is preferred.
