Under the supervision of the Chief and Council, the Director of Education is responsible for the overall planning, development, implementation, review and evaluation of the Nakota Oyade Education Center (NOEC) administration and procedures. The position provides leadership in all matters in relation to education of the NOEC; ensuring that all operations are conducted in a respectful and responsible and ethical way, that all decisions and actions meet the relevant legislation, policies and procedures. The Director of Education must provide records and documents to the relevant governments and agencies, when requested. This position must build capacity through INACs-Structural Readiness process to include duties such as providing direction and oversight on NOEC curriculum, supply selection and purchasing, school management, staff training and general school operations in accordance with NOEC, adherence to CTK, Board, legal policies and procedures. Demonstrates effective organizational skills that result in compliance with all legal, Ministerial, Board and Carry The Kettle First Nation mandate and timelines.
