Description

We are looking for an experienced pizza cook to join our dedicated kitchen staff at Red Swan Pizza - Humboldt. Must be passionate, dedicated, and inspired to meet the highest standards.

Prepare pizzas out of our menu and based on custom orders
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment
Make fresh tomato, pesto and white cream sauces
Prepare all raw materials required for cooking such as cutting all vegetables and meats.
Monitor food stock and place orders, as needed
Cook bread sticks, pizza bites, garlic breads and make salads
Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
Train new team members

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum 1year work experience as a Pizza Cook or similar role in a restaurant
Must be able to stand for an extended period of time and work in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment and pizza oven
Understanding of food hygiene
Good time-management skills
Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings
Diploma from school or food safety certificate is a plus
Be a team player with a positive attitude and professionalism
Able to carry/lift heavy objects when needed (up to 30 lbs)
