Fortis Mining Engineering & Manufacturing is currently recruiting for a Sr Contracts Administrator. This position works closely with the Project Team Manager, Mining Division Manager, Purchasing Manager, and other team members through the entire contract process from quotation and project award through to the project closeout.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with stakeholders to ensure contracts are created and executed in compliance with company policies, processes, procedures, and relevant legislation
Communicate effectively and work closely with the Project Team
Prepare bid packages including establishing commercial terms, verifications of subcontractor safety, insurance, and quality documentation for contract compliance
Review payment terms and advise the Finance department regarding cash flow requirements for mobilization, substantial completion, and holdback terms
Participate in presenting bid packages to customers and establish contract compliance requirements at project award
Manage ongoing review of project status
Support client invoice compilation and submittals in accordance with contract agreements including validating sub-contractor invoices, change orders, rates, crew rotation, equipment, and material costs
Monitor progress billings and authorize payments to sub-contractors within the terms of the contract
Provide support and leadership to other members of the Project and Contracts Team
Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Post-secondary education with a focus on business or construction management would be considered an asset
4+ years of progressive experience in a similar industry
Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate would be considered an asset
Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience, that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities for the position
