Description

Our growth plans require the addition of a Senior Design Engineer / Technologist within our engineering team. Your experience combined with knowledge of engineering methods and design software along with your ability to work as part of a team will allow you to produce safe, innovative products of quality and integrity.  Your experience on Mechanical & Structural Design projects will be beneficial in innovating and refining our new and existing products.

Duties and Responsibilities:    

- Perform structural analysis of product designs utilizing best practices in the field to determine the most cost-effective solution.
- Supporting estimating of projects requiring structural components
- Analyzing & design structural components. Performing calculations related to loading scenarios  
- Provide mentoring to implement practical and applied engineering principles
- Responsible for leading projects and groups of engineers and designers within the Aggregate + Mining Engineering Department
- Work collaboratively with other members of the team and other departments
- Develop and implement standards and procedures for all engineering and technical requirements
- The performance and quality of Vale products within their respective industries  
- Technical Product support for all products from design to manufacturing, to operations through to the customer.
