Facility: Youth Addictions Services
Job Description: The Health Educator is part of the health promotion team and is responsible for assessing the health and wellness needs of youth. The Health Educator (Youth Health Promotion Coordinator) is also responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating programs, and mobilizing community actions that aim to engage youth thereby decreasing substance use and increasing mental well-being in this population. The Health Educator (Youth Health Promotion Coordinator) will utilize and apply population health promotion strategies to prevent disease and increase the wellbeing of youth across the region.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor degree in a Social Work, Psychology or other health related discipline.
Registration with or eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional association (if applicable)

Must possess a valid drivers license

Field Hours
Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.  HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
