Description

McNab Regional Park includes the golf course, camp grounds, front clubhouse area, pool area and parking lot & the Arena maintenance, cleaning, record keeping and ice maintenance.
Purpose for the Position at the park:
Supervises the mowing, top dressing, and care of golf greens, tee boxes and all other arenas.
Exercises the proper control of weeds, insects
Directs the location of cups on greens and tee markers and sees that tee stands are properly equipped
Ensures garbage on the course and at the campgrounds are emptied daily.
Directs the maintenance and minor repairs to all mowers and golf course mechanical equipment and buildings.
Instructs and demonstrates attendants and any volunteers of safe operation of equipment.
Any other duties assigned by the McNab Park Manager.
Assist the Park Manager is designing the work and maintenance schedules
Follow the daily and seasonal maintenance schedules
Purpose for the Position at the Arena:
Minor maintenance
Maintenance logs need to be filled out weekly
Ice edging done weekly
Zamboni room door way needs to be ice and snow free at all times
up to 20% of the building will be painted yearly
Change filter as needed for ice plant
Keep records CO2 levels  
Sweep and mop Lobby, dressing rooms, washrooms and on bleachers
Operate Zamboni
Sharpen skates  
Make sure all doors are ice free at all times i.e. open them weekly
Keep Zamboni room clean
Empty garbage and recycling
Skills and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of the proper care and upkeep of golf course and campgrounds.
Good knowledge of weeds, insects and fungi pests and of methods used for their control and eradication.
Good knowledge of seeds and fertilizers.
Knowledge of ice maintenance
Knowledge of equipment
Ability to lay out and supervise the work of others
