WHAT YOU WILL DO

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner consistent with company values, policies, and procedures. Heavy equipment may include trucks, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, and other pieces of equipment. The operator role also includes general cleaning and maintenance for equipment performance.

The role includes:

Assist General Manager with coordinating daily activities for the team, contractors, and equipment
Interpret site plans and blueprints
Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures
Perform daily equipment and vehicle preventive maintenance checks
Safely and skillfully operate all types of heavy equipment
Perform minor repairs and maintenance
Complete other project tasks when not operating equipment
Keep project site and work area clean
Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation as requested
Conduct professional interactions with subcontractors, suppliers, and customers

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

3-5 years of experience working as a heavy-duty operator in construction projects
3A operators licence (Class 1A is preferred)
Experience with land water management, GPS, and other related tools
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Physical endurance to fulfill the assigned duties
Ability to work well under pressure and meet project deadlines
