The role of the Solution Architect at client is as a generalist with a broad skill set typically acquired through many years of business and industry experience in all IT disciplines including technology planning and operations, infrastructure management, data analysis, and integration design. These abilities must be supported by strong interpersonal, change management and project management skills.
Typical Duties of the Solution Architect Resource include but are not limited to:
Work with ministry personnel to assess business requirements and recommend initial solution options.
Develop and document high level conceptual and logical solution architectures in alignment with GOS standards and the current environment.
Oversee the technical implementation and deployment of new business solutions.
Participate and contribute to the maturity of the architecture practice.
Develop and maintain technical and business IT standards and system roadmaps.
The resource will be required to participate in consultant performance evaluation as deemed appropriate by the Ministry.
Familiarity with the Government of Saskatchewan, or comparable entity, technical and business landscape is considered an asset.
