Successful candidates for this position must possess the following:
Familiarity with the needs of vulnerable families, including families involved in the programs such as KidsFirst, Newcomer Centers, Family services agencies, or individuals who self-identify as requiring support.
An understanding of early childhood development and the importance and value of early learning and child care.
Familiarity with licensed child care in the community in which they would work for.
Understanding of trauma-informed practice and how to translate these concepts into practical approaches for child care providers
Skilled at creating relationships with community stakeholders .
The position will report to and be directly supported by The Moose Jaw Early Years Resource Centre Management Committee.

Increased number of vulnerable families engaged with licensed child care
Better utilization of child care in the community
Strengthened relationships between licensed child care and the MJEYFRC
Strengthened relationship between organizations that provide support to families like KidsFirst Targeted, Newcomer organizations, family services agencies, Indigenous organizations, and licensed child care
Successful Candidate Qualifications may include a combination of experience and qualifications:
ECE III Degree and 5+ years working in the field; or
7+ years experience as a home visitor with a family focused, early childhood program; or
An undergraduate degree in Social Work , Education, or Early Childhood Education and 5+ years of experience; or
A combination of similar training and experience.
