Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To provide information, assistance, and outstanding courteous customer service in the bakery department.
2. To prepare dough for pies, bread and rolls and prepare batters for muffins, cookies, cakes and frostings.
3. Bake mixed doughs and batters.
4. Perform slicing and packaging of breads and buns.
5. Fry and finish doughnuts in the prescribed manner.
6. Assist in bench work on cookies, cakes, decorating and other doughs.
7. Assist in the mixing, scaling and proofing, and oven work as required.
8. Maintain required records in the work area, including preparation of production sheets as prescribed.
9. Observe safety measures and report hazardous conditions immediately to the Department Manager.
10. Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties as per Association standards.
11. Operate equipment necessary to prepare merchandise for sale.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
1. Good English communication skills
2. Ability to adhere to and uphold sanitation standards
3. Ability to work under deadlines and meet client expectations
4. Understanding of imperial systems and metrics of measurements

WORKING HOURS: Working is scheduled for 9 hours with 1-hour unpaid lunch break and two 15-minute coffee breaks. Shifts starts at 7 am, 7:30 am, 8 am, 8:30 am, etc. with the last shift starting at 12:30 am and ending at 9:30 pm. Management roles typically end by 4 pm.

2. After 12 months of employment = 3 weeks paid vacation per year
3. After 12 months of employment = Will be eligible to participate in the company pension plan offering a 6% company match.
