Whitmore Park Child Care Co-op is dedicated to creating early childhood programming that is holistic, responsive, building on children's strengths, accomplishments, and abilities.
Our educators strive to provide children with ample opportunities to learn and develop through discovery and engage in hands-on activities and open-ended exploration. Following the Ministry of Education's Play and Exploration, educators implement child-led play-based programming, viewing children as competent learners. Working as a team with co-workers and families is essential to creating collaborative partnerships that meet the individual needs of each child.
In addition, educators are responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of snacks and meals. There is also some general cleaning required to ensure a safe and clean environment is maintained.
We are currently looking for a full-time Educator to join our team!
The position available is 38-40 hours/week, 8:00-5:00pm, Monday -Friday with a hour unpaid lunch break, and 15 minutes paid coffee break. There is also an opportunity for an EDO every 6 weeks after 3 months probation.
The right applicant must have a minimum of an ECE Level 1 and at least six months of experience within a center. Current first aid with CPR and a current Criminal Record Check with the vulnerable sector must be provided before the day of hire.
