Facility: REDVERS HEALTH CENTRE
Job Description: Reporting to the Southeast EMS Operations Manager the Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) is responsible for responding to emergent and non-emergent EMS calls for service; and for providing initial assessment, treatment, stabilization and transport of ill or injured persons at the Basic Life Support level.

The PCP will provide care with strict adherence to: Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) core values, policies, and work standards; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Paramedic Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and SCoP Regulatory and Administrative Bylaws; and The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations.
Required Qualifications

Valid Class 4 drivers license
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at the PCP/EMT level
International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) - Basic
CMA Accredited Pre-Hospital Care Program at the Primary Care Paramedic (PCP/EMT) level
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Effective oral and written communication skills
Other Information

No guaranteed hours
Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
Standard Hours

The successful candidate is responsible to obtain and provide an original Criminal Record Check (CRC) & Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) from their local police service, RCMP or previous country/countries
