Job description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a warehouse associate for a top client of ours in the industrial distribution industry. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in a warehouse environment, excellent problem solving skills and a great work ethic.

Job Duties:

Various tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication and transportation of goods.
Load and unload materials to and from designated storage area.
Stack or pile materials.
Install protective devices to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
Verify physical count of stock and compare to computations.
Interacting with installers and subcontractors to receive/fill orders, sell supplies, materials and products.
Maintaining a safe and clean work area.
Following company safety policies and encouraging other associates to do the same.
Other duties as required.
Job Requirements:

Knowledge of machines and tools.
Forklift experience and certification is an asset.
At least 1-2 years experience in a similar capacity.
Problem solving skills, ability to select correct processes from prescribed rules, best practices or instruction.
Ability to seek advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from a supervisor.
Able to work under close supervision and open to constructive criticism.
Good physical condition, with the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly. Standing for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements, ect.
