The Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc. EGADZ requires a Full Time Support Worker for First Avenue Campus.
EGADZ is an inter-agency, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide services for hard to serve youth in Saskatoon with the mission to encourage and support them to make choices that improve their quality of life.
First Avenue Campus, located at the EGADZ Youth Centre, provides full day education program running Monday through Friday. First Avenue Campus provides a continuum of services to meet the complex and intense needs of many of our youth with Justice involvement.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in the human services field, equivalent experience or a combination of both
Ability to establish a rapport with youth whereby being a positive role model.
Demonstrate and practice a healthy lifestyle
Ability to provide the most inclusive collaborative support that assists the youth, their family and all partnering agencies in order for future educational placements to be successful.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with youth, staff and partnering agencies and maintain strict confidentiality and appropriate boundaries
Ability to express ideas and concepts effectively in an oral and written form
Working knowledge of computers/windows
Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and issues
Must have a valid drivers license that reflects a safe driving record - A Driver's Abstract is Required (Within 3 Months).
Criminal Records Check including Vulnerable Sector (Within 6 Months)
Starting Wage $ 18.16
