The successful candidate will be required to perform the following duties:
To train club swimmers to swim according to the standards established by Swimming Canada;
To act as a positive role model that is enthusiastic, energetic and willing to promote team spirit
through team building exercises and leadership;
To hire, supervise and guide assistant coaches;
To oversee technical training and support of all age groups including both pre-competitive and
competitive swimmers;
Be willing to travel and attend swim meets throughout Saskatchewan;
To communicate effectively with athletes, parents, facility staff and the volunteer board of
directors;
To promote the club in the community and recruit new members;
To perform administrative duties as required. Some of which are to organize group placements,
training camps, and swim meets; to maintain accurate up-to-date records of all swimmers
personal best times; to enter swimmers in events at swim meets; to develop competition and
training schedules;
To promote SCBSC by active and regular contact with the local news media and articles for
monthly newsletters;
To attend and report at the SCBSC monthly board meetings.
