Job Description: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing support services to St. Paul's Hospital Administration and to one or more SHA Directors; which includes a mix of support duties essential for the effective and efficient functioning of St. Paul's Hospital Administration. Specific duties within this position change as needs arise. The incumbent contributes to good public and internal relations through friendly, courteous and cooperative telephone, email, and personal daily contact by communicating effectively and providing a high level of confidential public, and administrative support, in a dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications

Completion of a relevant post-secondary education/training program
Experience
Several years experience in an administrative support role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Interpersonal skills
Organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Must be self-motivated, ambitious and able to set and attain work priorities
Ability to function in an environment of numerous interruptions
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office products, Publisher, database software, e-mail and internet

Sensitivity to confidential matters. Ability to development and maintain reports, presentations, information bulletins, spreadsheets, charts and other documents. A proven ability to tactfully deal with all levels of staff including directors, physicians, managers, and volunteers, patients, and the general public.
