The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Mining and Minerals Division has an opening for a Quality Assurance Coordinator. As the ideal candidate, you will monitor and maintain the quality assurance program within SRC Geoanalytical Laboratories.
Accountabilities
Oversee and maintain existing ISO 17025 accreditation in the laboratories
Interact with employees and supervisors to develop, revise, and implement new and existing laboratory procedures and processes to ensure compliance with the quality assurance program
Conduct reviews and audits to ensure laboratory methods and procedures are correctly documented and that processes are carried out appropriately; represent the laboratories with the ISO accrediting body
Participate in the continuous improvement of the quality system including developing new proficiency testing programs and reference materials to improve the analytical output for clients
Qualifications
A diploma or degree in chemistry or geology
Five years of laboratory experience with at least two years of direct quality assurance experience
Internal Quality Auditor of ISO 17025 standard is an asset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and communicate with all levels internal and external to the labs
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent organization and time management skills
The chosen candidate will be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
