The Organization
The Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission has a mandate to protect and promote human rights in Saskatchewan and work toward the elimination of discrimination.

The Position
The successful candidate will:
Provide legal opinions on policy, agreements, legislation and various areas of law including labour and employment, administrative, contractual relations, human rights, constitutional, and privacy
Conduct legal research
Conduct negotiations
Have carriage of motions before the Queens Bench
Assist in hearing preparation and may sit as second chair in a hearing before the Queens Bench
Essential Education, Skills, and Experience
The successful candidate will:
be energetic and confident with superior analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
demonstrate competence in dispute resolution skills including mediation and negotiation
have experience assessing risk, evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of legal disputes
courtroom experience will be considered an asset
be qualified for membership in the Law Society of Saskatchewan, having a minimum of 5 years of experience in active legal practice, including collaborative resolution and human rights law, or equivalent
have a demonstrated knowledge and understanding of The Saskatchewan Human Rights Code and Regulations, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, constitutional law, administrative law, labour law, and employment law
