The Evermore Centre (formerly the Adoption Support Centre of Saskatchewan) is seeking to expand their team and is hiring a Family Development Coordinator.
The Evermore Centre is a non-profit agency that serves everyone touched by adoption and all other forms of permanency and whose vision is to offer quality programs and services so that every child can flourish in a forever family.
The Family Coordinator is an individual whose primary focus is to help and improve the well-being of others. This position works individually and collaboratively and is primarily responsible for the following:
Primary role is in the research, development and delivery of programming that aims to support and educate clients with a connection to adoption & permanency and the related challenges they may be facing
This role includes informal counselling, facilitation of support groups, coordination and delivery of workshops and webinars and referrals to other services
Educating clients and members through both the Domestic Adoption Orientation Program
Delivery of the Ministry of Social Services mandatory parent training model the PRIDE Review to families and individuals
This role may include researching and writing content, grant writing that aligns with the organizations goals and mission statement
Education/Experience: an undergraduate degree in Social Work. Knowledge or background in adoption or other forms of permanency is considered an asset. Work experience in the Not for Profit Sector would be ideal.
Skills: The successful candidate must have experience working with a diverse community, be culturally sensitive, & possess above average skills in communication & relationship building. The successful candidate will also be a team player as well as self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
