Stores Person

As a member of the Stores area, the Storepersons main objective is to ensure that spare parts and inventory for the mill are accurately received, stored and available. This will include material stocking and counting, issuing, computer work, and forklift operation.

Responsibilities:
-Ensure materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner
-Ensure spare parts and operating supplies are secure and available on a timely basis while maintaining proper inventory levels for the entire site
-Minimize overstock and removal of obsolete/redundant parts and materials
-Assist Tradespersons & Operators in locating parts
-Provide Contractor support daily
-Perform other handling duties such as: counting, weighing, and sorting
-Use a forklift for unloading and moving products when needed
-Provide rotation coverage for the Stores Lead Hand and Shipper & Receiver duties
-Scheduled or on-call in the Stores department on weekends, as per management requirements

Qualifications:
-Experience in a Stores environment with warehouse & inventory management are considered assets
-Must be willing to be trained on forklift operation
-Proficient computer & admin abilities
-Highly motivated and able to work independently
-Flexible, well organized and ability to multi-task
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skillscustomer focused
-A high sense of urgency with regards to operational requirements
