Our PIPS-Enhanced team is looking for a full-time support worker. Support Workers are a part of a team providing services in a community based setting working with adults with mental health diagnoses and substance abuse disorders. They work under the direction of case managers.
Duties and responsibilities include assisting residents in the skills of daily living & medication management, organizing & participating in recreational activities, preparing meals for residents & conducting groups in life skills & health teaching. This includes house checks, med deliveries, groceries, and appointments. The Support Worker must act as a positive role model to residents.
Support Workers must be willing & able to provide First Aid/CPR. They must be able to take a proactive approach & provide appropriate responses to residents disclosing thoughts of self-harm or suicide, hallucinations, delusions or other symptoms & challenging behaviors. Shift work is required. The qualifications: a combination of relevant education & work experience in the human services field. Must possess a valid drivers license. Must be vaccinated for COVID-19.
