- Ensure prep work is done before peak hours of business includes cutting, scaling, washing produce and other materials by direction of chef
- Ensuring vegetables and meats are fresh by doing daily checks
- Helping unloading grocery deliveries
- Ensuring cooking area and workspaces clean and sanitized up to health and food safety standards
- Washing dishes/utensils
- Sweeping and mopping kitchen floor regularly to ensure cleanliness
- Ensuring kitchen equipment is being well looked after and cleaned on a regular basis
- Stocking and organizing food products properly in cold and freezer storage
- Checking inventory levels and reporting items which are short to the kitchen manager
-Emptying compost containers and dustbins after shift
