DSI Underground Canada, a Sandvik Company, is a leading global supplier of ground support solutions, for the mining and construction industry. This position is responsible for preparing and managing financial and profitability reporting and acts as a lead in the preparation of departmental annual budgets as well as the annual audited financial statements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and measure standard company financial metrics
Forecast revenues and expenditures and advise on future budgeting
Act as a liaison between the finance department and all other functional and operational departments
Routine communication with Supervisors relating to financial close, issues and deliverables.
Responsible for reviewing for accuracy and timely consolidated financial statements and management reports for the company
Investigates complex reporting discrepancies and identifies root cause
Analyze efficiency reports. Exercise judgment based upon available data
Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis
Assist in development of financial policies.
Reviews monthly and quarterly forecasts, identifies problems and provides effective solutions
