JOB SUMMARY:
The Engineer, Senior Protection, Automation & Control is accountable for participating in System Planning and Asset Management assignments on behalf of the Transmission Owner. The Protection Automation & Control team is responsible for working with the Planning Coordinator (PC) in coordination with multiple internal departments and external parties performing required technical system impact studies which analyze a variety of complex power system projects while ensuring compliance with NERC standard requirements as defined by the Midwest Reliability Organization.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Bachelors Degree or higher academic degree in Electrical Engineering recognized by Canadian Universities. Preference will be given to candidates with strong academic background like Master or PhD on Power System major and expertise in the planning and operation of power utility transmission systems
Professional Engineering Designation P.Eng.
A minimum of six (6) years post P. Eng. relevant experience that includes: A combination of the following engineering tasks: planning, designing, constructing, operating, commissioning of facilities, management, and coordination of technical aspects of contracts and/or technical coordination of highly complex projects
