Carrot River/Beeland/Parkland/Prairie North Co-op is hiring a Health & Safety Advisor.

Who we are:
Prairie North has a health & safety shared services agreement with Carrot River, Beeland and Parkland Co-op.  Under this agreement, Prairie North provides health & safety services to all four Co-op retails when combined includes 12 communities, 34 site locations and over 500 team members.

What youll do:
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, the Advisor will support on a broad variety of health & safety administrative activities.  The Health & Safety Advisor will develop trusted relationships with organizational stakeholders to continually advance workplace safety culture, education, and compliance.  Additional duties include:

-Perform regular workplace inspections, investigations, and safety audits
-Coordinate and facilitate health & safety training for team members
-Monitor legislative and regulatory compliance changes
-Champion health & safety recognition and reward programs
-Support the health & safety committee across a variety of locations

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Health, Safety, Security & Environment and Sustainability and:
-You have a OHSP or currently working towards a designation
-Youre familiar with Federal and Provincial OH&S legislation
-A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered
-Must be willing to travel to various locations throughout shared service agreement
-Must possess a minimum Class 5 Drivers License
-Previous experience in a health & safety role is considered an asset

Consideration will be made to the successful candidate to work out of a community of their preference within the shared services agreement.
