Description

Job duties:
Set up computer equipment and ensuring proper installation of operating systems and required software.
Test proper working of the software and ensure timely updates.
Monitor and document difficulties identified by the users.
Maintain record of problems faced by the users and the solutions provided.
Supply one-on-one instructional training for personnel as required
Workstation setup for new employees
Analyze and provide required business systems, network and Internet support.
Help in redesigning the applications and software when and where the requirement arises.
Troubleshoot the technical problems faced by the users.
Collect and analyze data related to glitches and difficulties faced by system users.
Provide solutions by consulting users and user/technical/trouble shooting manuals.
Research efficient trouble shooting methods and implement the solutions.
Conduct trainings for trouble shooting the common and specific identified problems and help increase efficiency.
Provide business systems, network and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties.
Provide weekend coverage and on-call support as scheduled
Additional duties as required


Skills and Qualifications:

Good understanding of Desktop/Server hardware, software and networking
Hands on experience/skills with Microsoft Office, Windows, Server and other productivity software
Relevant education or training in IT
1-2 years of experience in IT
Strong oral and written communication skills
Good troubleshooting skills in software and hardware
Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
Ability to work both independently and with a team; must be able to work closely and effectively with all team members
