Description

As a Tooling Design Engineer, you will:
-Design tools required in the manufacturing of agricultural equipment, such as tools for welding, robot weld, mill fixtures, etc.
-Plan, source, design and manage projects involving the installation of manufacturing equipment or facilities
-Implement process improvements that increase production efficiencies
-Process new product bulletins and engineering change bulletins by entering routings and designing tooling to manufacture new and revised parts.
-Design tooling for weld, robot weld, and CNC mill fixtures
-Catalog, organize, and develop maintenance schedules for all tooling
-Develop and document standard work
-Implement lean manufacturing principles on the production floor and in the office
-Design equipment, tooling, or processes to improve safety, quality or productivity issues
-Design processes and process layouts using lean principles to minimize waste
-Conduct time studies to develop base times or evaluate different processes

Qualifications:
-Degree or diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or related field.
-Strong industrial/manufacturing engineering background
-Knowledge of tooling design is a strong asset
-Extensive knowledge & application of lean manufacturing principles
-3D CAD experience is required (SolidWorks preferred)
-Strong computer skills
-Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills    
-Attention to detail
-Strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills
