Description

Personal Care Home Responsibilities
Provide leadership, direction, guidance, coaching, and support to the care staff working in the Personal Care Home, incl:
Ensure the proper delivery and execution of tasks by all care staff are completed with accuracy and compliance
Leads shifts to ensure communications amongst employees are occurring, including policies, procedures, and shift changes
Have a flexible schedule to ensure communication and expectations are being met on all shifts
Responsible for finding replacements when staff phone in sick. If unable to find a replacement, the PCH Supervisor may need to assist with shift duties
Inspecting resident rooms, common areas, kitchen areas, and employee areas to ensure they are meeting Harbour Landing Village standard expectations of orderliness and cleanliness
Has strong follow-through, and is responsible for staff knowledge and execution of proper procedures, policies, and safety measures
Is actively working with staff on the floor, assisting where needed, is accessible and approachable, and dedicated to building teamwork
Discussing concerns and observations with the Care Management Team and working in unison
Leads in the regular review, maintenance, and updating of accurate resident documentation and charting
Manages and updates inventory and supplies as needed for shift efficiency
Communicates with family members on replenishing personal supplies such as toiletries or groceries and non-medical related subjects
Coordinates and provides orientation for all new Care Aide hires
Is actively involved in ensuring Occupational Health and Safety guidelines are followed
Other tasks as required and assigned.

Skills, Qualification, & Requirements:

Direct supervisor experience of 2 years minimum
3 + years of general care or long-term care experience
Maintains CPR & First Aid, Medication Aide, TLR, and Food Safety certificates
Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
