Excited by the possibility of a technical position in a conservation agency that supports the design and development of the Meewasin Valley?

Meewasin is currently recruiting for a Design Assistant.  This is a small, fast-paced organization that requires a dedicated, detail focused individual looking for a rewarding position in a community based organization. Qualifications: Completion of a technical diploma in landscape design or relevant diploma or university degree; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. A minimum of three years experience in the public or private sector related to the design and construction of public open-space is required. A working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite is also required. A working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, GPS equipment and ESRI mapping systems would be an asset. Familiarity with native plants and plant communities in this region would also be considered an asset.
A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required prior to the appointment of this position.
This position requires a valid drivers license and the ability to perform strenuous manual tasks if required in the field.
