South Prairie Transport 100% locally owned and is a leader in the waste hauling industry with a fleet of 10 tractor trailer units and 3-5 mechanics. We understand the trucking industry and work with our drivers to create a safe, efficient and positive work place. We are based out of Regina and are looking to expand with 1-2 owner operators in the Yorkton area.

Job Description:

This role would work to haul residential and municipal waste from a transfer station located in Yorkton to a landfill located in Whitewood. We are looking for an owner/operator that can haul one of our 53' walking floor trailers. Drivers will be expected work Monday to Friday but must be willing to drive for 10 + hours a day. To operate the walking floor trailer, the owners tractor semi unit will need to be equipped with a hydraulic wet kit.

General Duties:

- Complete daily circle checks of tractor-trailer unit
- Keep detailed logs of circle checks and driving logs
- Drive in varying conditions
- Drive on varying types of roadways
- Keep trailer clean and tidy

Qualifications:

- Valid 1A drivers license
- Owner of a wet kit equipped semi unit
- Minimum of 1 years driving experience
- Acceptable driving record, as determined by management
- Capable of working independently and with minimal supervision
- Available to work for 10+ hours a day Monday to Friday
- Knowledge of safety aspects and standard precautions. - Must be willing to comply with all safety policies.
- A criminal record check will also be required.
