Description

LLRIB  Stanley Mission Health Services Inc. Stanley Mission is a Woodland Cree community located the beautiful Churchill River, 81 km north of La Ronge. There are approximately 2,000 community members with Kindergarten to Grade 12 educational facilities. Successful applicants will report to the Health Director.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include case management, medication management, crisis intervention, mental health counselling, consultation with professional and community agencies, documentation, client/family education, client advocacy and mental health promotion.
Qualifications and assets required are as follows:
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
Ability to initiate and exercise critical thinking and decision making.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to make independent nursing decisions based on evidence-based practice in mental health nursing.
Able to administer and follow up with prescribed psychiatric medication therapies.
Familiar with Opioid Agonist Therapy Program and willing to deliver the program to clients.
Other nursing duties such as demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture, IM administration, proper lab specimen handling and labelling.
Other nursing duties as assigned by the Nurse In Charge.
Experience working in aboriginal communities and an ability to speak Cree is an asset.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor/Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered for eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA) or Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Saskatchewan (RNPAS)
Valid Saskatchewan drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
