Description

We are currently recruiting a Co-op student to join our team of Ag professionals.

The Legacy Co-op Agro Centre in Ebenezer, SK provides customers with seed, crop protection, fertilizer, equipment, and specialized advice from qualified professionals to enhance crop performance.

The Co-op Student will receive mentorship and coaching from our experienced Ag professionals in the areas of retail sales and planning, customer contact, agronomy, administration, and operations.

You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects alongside a team of professionals while gaining experience in the field as well as in the office.
Opportunities include:
Scouting crops for insects, disease, and weeds
Participating in sales calls and customer contact programs
Gaining knowledge in retail ag business activities such as budgeting, margins, credit management, marketing, and human resources
Operating equipment such as tractors, forklifts and augers

Legacy Co-op will provide a robust training experience allowing the student to find their passion within the agriculture industry.

Term: Approximately May 2023 to August 15, 2023

Qualifications:

Student of an Agriculture or Agribusiness Degree or Diploma Program
High level of enthusiasm and strong commitment to gaining experience in the agriculture industry
Self-motivated, organized and detail oriented
Willing and able to work all shifts scheduled including days, evenings, holidays and weekends with the ability to be on call as required and work additional hours during peak seasons.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Class 5 drivers licence  must possess a valid Class 5 Driver licence and maintain a valid licence throughout employment

Please note that safety-sensitive positions will require pre-employment alcohol and substance testing.
