Description

Cowessess Community Educational Centre (CCEC), situated in the scenic QuAppelle Valley, is seeking a dynamic educator for the 2022-2023 School Year with possible
annual extensions. CCEC is a beautiful Pre-K to Grade 12 education facility situated in Cowessess First Nation, which is very close to Crooked Lake and Round Lake.
The position available is a Grade 10-12 Math & Science teacher.
Salary is based on the STF Provincial Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The successful candidate must have the skills and abilities to teach the subjects and to
work within a strong CCEC team. Specifically, we are seeking a candidate who:
Demonstrates strong Science and Mathematics teaching skills;
Can adapt and support student learning;
Creates authentic relationships with students;
Can successfully infuse and highlight Indigenous values and ways of knowing
into all areas of the curriculum;
Will work with the community to integrate knowledge and skills;
Is able to adapt to online learning if required and is adept at engaging learning
strategies;
Has the ability for self-reflection and adaptation of teaching skills to meet the
needs of CCEC students; and
Treaty education and knowledge would be a definite asset.
Interested educators (Canadian citizens only)  must provide a cover letter summarizing their skills and suitability;
a current teaching resume, a copy of a Class 4 Saskatchewan Education teaching
certificate, a current criminal record check (vulnerable sector) as well as three (3)
references.
