Facility: St Pauls Hospital
Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Mission, the Music Therapist functions as part of the Healing Arts Program and in collaboration with the healthcare team. The Music Therapist is accountable for identifying, implementing, and evaluating a music therapy program for patients within St. Paul's Hospital. The role of the Music Therapist is to contribute to the holistic care of clients and families through the use of music.
Required Qualifications

Accreditation from Canadian Association of Music Therapy (CAMT)
Bachelor Degree in Music Therapy
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced communication skills
Advanced problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Advanced project management skills
Advanced organizational skills
Advanced leadership skills

Field Hours
Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.  HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.

Professional Affiliation: Member of the Canadian Association of Music Therapy (CAMT. Knowledge and understanding of philosophy and principles of holistic health care. Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of personnel, both internal and external to the organization. Media relations skills. Demonstrated ability to perceive and analyze problems, develop alternatives, and effect innovative solutions. Maintains professional status through membership in professional organizations, literature reviews and/or specialized courses
