Weyburn Agricultural Society is accepting applications for an Office Manager.  This is a full-time position with the bulk of time required from March until September. Applicants must be willing to work evening and weekend hours during the active months. Guided by the Board of Directors, the manager looks after the overall management of the operation including financial management, recruiting sponsorship and marketing. The Manager reports to the Board of Directors and has supervisory responsibilities for some aspects of our events.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the office manager will:
Be responsible for the successful operation of the society with a view for long-term success
Day to day operations  phones, insurance, pay bills, file government remittances, etc
Provide support to the Board of Directors to ensure the events and activities meet the needs of the community    
Assist in organizing events
Cleaning of buildings/office
Education & Experience:
Degree/diploma in Business, Marketing or Recreation an asset but not a requirement, or combination of education and experience
Leadership experience in member focused organizations and/or volunteer associations
Previous responsibilities for marketing and communications/public relations
Proven track record of establishing effective operating procedures and processes
Proven success in achieving bottom line results
Bookkeeping skills are required

People person with ability to relate to members, customers, business community
Shows initiative, task oriented, entrepreneurial mind-set
Aptitude to solicit and generate sponsorship from the Weyburn area
Ability to challenge tradition, identify problem areas, and implement solutions
Community minded
