PRAIRIE MOON INN & SUITES MACKLIN is in need of Guest Services Representative

Employment Terms:  Permanent - Full Time  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1)    Responsible for registering arriving guest and check-outs including tills preparation and accepting payments
2)    Take reservations over the telephone, through emails and in person
3)    Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments
4)    Answer enquiries regarding hotel services, charges and registration by letter, by telephone and in person
5)    Coordinates with housekeeping about the rooms for cleaning
6)    Provide guests with directions around the hotel
7)    Anticipate guests needs or complaints, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
8)    Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
9)    Balance cash at the end of the shift and generate accounting reports for the benefit of the next shift including night audit report
10)    Perform other related duties as assigned

WORKING HOURS:    Shift work (AM, PM, Graveyard), 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week with 2 varied days off per week

WAGE/BENEFITS: $14.50/hour, Company Health and Dental Program after successful completion of a 90 days employment period

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

1.    Education:  Completion of secondary school
2.    Work Experience:  Minimum one year working experience in related occupation
3.    Must have the ability to anticipate customer needs, change goals and direction quickly
4.    Must have proven excellence in customer service
5.    Must be activator/self-motivated to accomplish goals with a strong sense of responsibility
6.    Must be knowledgeable with computers and related peripherals
7.    Must have proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail.
8.    Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays.
