Description

The Program Coordinator is accountable for the coordination and administration of quality adult programs and services for First Nations Learners and is accountable for leading the Early Childhood Education initiatives and goals of the department. As an employee of SIIT, this position will positively promote and create an environment that demonstrates SIIT's vision, mission and mandate.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the early childhood education training initiatives and programs across Saskatchewan. This position is required to ensure that the work carried out aligns with the goals of SIIT to serve First Nation early childhood education learners by making accessible off-campus educational opportunities in the form of online, career and professional development. The incumbent is responsible for the coordination of programs from start to finish, including administration and financial budgeting, program development, monitoring, as well as, recruitment and management of instructors and students, and completing evaluations.

The position is responsible for coordinating with outside agencies to build and maintain the highest professional rapport with stakeholders, funders and suppliers. Additionally, this position will ensure that the training and education offered and developed meets the needs of the learners, clients, communities and professional workforces they serve.
