Description

To fulfill Pattison Agricultures vision of GROWING, CONNECTING AND EVOLVING we are looking for a Human Capital Advisor who will report to the Human Capital Manager and will be based out of any of our Pattison Agriculture locations. The HC Advisor will work alongside members of the Dept, the successful candidate will provide support for a broad range of HR functions and admin duties ensuring a quality service approach to all internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

- Assists with day-to-day operations of the HC dept functions and duties
- Works with and supports recruiting activities (including creation of job postings, screening interviews, reference checks, liaise with position managers, etc.)
- Supports dept managers in admin and scheduling of regularly occurring HC processes
- Facilitates new hire on-boarding requirements
- Assists staff to interpret and implement HC/Org policies and procedures
- Attends and actively contributes to HC meetings and committees

Requirements

- Diploma or degree in a HR or related field (Business, Commerce, HR)
- Candidate must be professional and be able to exercise discretion and judgment when handling confidential and sensitive info
- Excellent communication & teamwork skills
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Employment Standards Act and relevant legislation is beneficial
- Skilled in using MS Office and Internet applications
- Valid drivers license, and a willingness to be flexible with hours, as needed
